Job Title: Senior Developer

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Blue Yonder Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Blue Yonder Demand Planning / Demand Sensing and Oracle PL/SQL development.

The role will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting demand-planning solutions, with particular focus on Blue Yonder application development, demand-planning data processing, database development, interfaces, batch processes, performance optimization, and production support.

The ideal candidate should combine strong technical development capability with a good understanding of supply-chain demand-planning concepts and be comfortable troubleshooting complex issues across the Blue Yonder application and Oracle database layers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Blue Yonder Demand & Demand Sensing Development

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain solutions within Blue Yonder/JDA Demand Planning and Demand Sensing.
• Work on technical configurations and customizations required to support business demand-planning processes.
• Develop and maintain demand-planning data flows, interfaces, batch processes and application components.
• Translate functional/business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Perform impact analysis and technical design for enhancements and change requests.
• Support solution testing across development, SIT, UAT and production environments.

2. Oracle PL/SQL Development

• Design and develop complex Oracle SQL and PL/SQL components, including:
• Packages
• Procedures
• Functions
• Triggers
• Views
• Complex queries
• Joins and aggregations
• MERGE operations
• Bulk processing
• Analyze and optimize SQL/PLSQL for high-volume planning data.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and improve query execution efficiency.
• Develop robust exception handling, logging and data-validation mechanisms.
• Perform data analysis and reconciliation between upstream/downstream systems and Blue Yonder.

3. Demand Planning Technical Support

• Investigate and resolve complex application and data-related production incidents.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement permanent technical fixes.
• Analyze forecast/demand data issues and identify problems across application, database, interface and batch-processing layers.
• Monitor critical jobs and proactively identify processing failures or data inconsistencies.
• Support production releases, deployments and post-deployment validation.

4. Technical Design & Engineering Quality

• Create technical design documents and development specifications.
• Follow coding standards and development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure maintainability, performance and reliability of solutions.
• Perform unit testing and support integration and regression testing.
• Identify technical risks and propose appropriate mitigation.

5. Collaboration & Senior Developer Responsibilities

• Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, architects and support teams.
• Participate in requirement/design discussions and challenge technically inefficient solutions.
• Guide junior developers on Blue Yonder and Oracle development.
• Support estimation, planning and technical breakdown of development activities.
• Coordinate with upstream/downstream application teams to troubleshoot integration issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation and reduction of recurring production issues.
